[1] Instead of "multitude of people," the Shem Tov has "the friends" (החבורות) and the Hebrew translation of the Peshitta has "the crowd" (ההמונים). [1] The Shem Tov begins this verse with: בעת ההיא אמר יש''ו לתלמידיו; in that time Yeshu said to his students. [2] Shem Tov and Peshitta: יכבד (yi'ka'ved / he will be heavy); meaning "he will give weight to." [3] Shem Tov and Peshitta: יבזה (yiv'zah / he will disdain) [4] This word is not found in the Shem Tov or Peshitta. [1] Shem Tov: רבי אמור (my abundant one said...). [2] The Peshitta has these two words written as one word - איזו. [1] Peshitta: איל (eyl/mighty one); Note that the first person possessive pronoun (my) is not present. Shem Tov: אל (eyl/mighty one). [2] Peshitta: איל (eyl/mighty one). Shem Tov: אל (eyl/mighty one). [3] Only one manuscript of the Shem Tov Matthew includes the phrase, “And in the ninth hour.” [4] The phrase, "my Elohiym, my Elohiym, why did you leave me alone," is not found in the Shem Tov Matthew. [5] The Shem Tov Matthew includes, בלשון הקודש (b'lashon ha'qodesh / in the holy language). [6] The Aramaic Peshitta does not include the phrase, "which it was said, my mighty one, my mighty one, why did you leave me."
