The New Testament (or "B'rit HaChadashah" in Hebrew) was written by Jewish followers of Yeshua (Jesus). The text is Hebraic in nature and best understood from this perspective. These books do not focus on doctrine but the historical background and Hebraic nature of the New Testament.

History

These are books that provide a background to the Hebrew characters and events of the New Testament.

Judaism

The writers of the New Testament were Jews who lived and thought from a Jewish background. Many times the New Testament can only be understood from this perspective. The books here help to explain the Jewish background to the many stories and events.

Messiah

The concept of a Messiah (Christos in Greek and Christ in English) is a Jewish concept and best understood from their perspective. These books explain the background to the Messiah as well as describing Yeshua from a Jewish perspective.

Hebraic Background of NT

As the New Testament is written from an Hebraic perspective, it must be read through their eyes and even their language. These books are helpful in explaining the Hebraic background of the New Testament.

Greek

With only a few exceptions, the New Testament survives today in the Greek language. These are books that teach or explain the Greek texts of the New Testament.

Bibles

Just as their are many different traditions and translations for the Hebrew text of the Tenach/Old Testament, their are different traditions and translations of the New Testament. Included here are ancient translations and modern translations, Greek Bibles and Interlinears and translations from a Jewish perspective.
