By Jeff A. Benner

Consonants

The "gimel" is pronounced "g" as in game.

The "samech" is pronounced "s" as in sand.

Notes

  1. Vocabulary word #1 is pronounced "Kol" (coal), not "Kal" as it appears. The "a" vowel is pronounced "o" in this word. This same word can be found in Genesis 1:26 below, third line and the third word, where it is prefixed by the letters vav (meaning 'and') and beyt (meaning 'in'). This word is pronounced uv-khol and means "and in all."
