Pronunciation: "M"

Culture: Water was a very essential to the nomads life for himself, family, livestock and crops.
Meaning: Water

Pronunciation: "Y", when used as a consonant, "I" when used as a vowel.
Picture: An arm and closed hand.
Culture: The closed hand represents the idea of work, throw, make, etc.
Meaning: Working hand




Parent Root (Trunk of the Tree)

Pronunciation: "YaM"
Picture: Working water
Culture: A large body of water, where the waves and storms are its work.
Meaning: The active sea.
Reference: Genesis 1:26




Child Root (Branches of the Tree)

Pronunciation: "YoWM"
Meaning: This child root is a day. The Hebrew day ends when the sun sets and a new day begins. In the land of the Hebrews, the sun sets over the Mediterranean Sea (yam). Yom then literally means, "the time between the setting of the sun over the sea".

Pronunciation: "AYaM"
Meaning: This child root is fear. The sea was seen as a place of chaos because of the great and turbulent storms which formed over it. For this reason, this word was used for fear, terror and chaos.
