At this point we have learned the picture, name and sound for each letter. The next step is to learn what each letter means as this will be necessary for understanding Hebrew words in their original Hebrew context.
The strength of the ox is used for hauling and pulling.

The function of the tent is to provide a covering for the family.

The staff is seen as the authority and protection of the shepherd over his flock. The kings scepter comes from this imagery.

The sea was seen by the Hebrews as a mighty and chaotic (from the storms) place.

The seed is the continuation of a new generation.

A thorn holds onto the skin or fur of animals.
